Is it true that homeopathic medicines are only placebos or sugar pills?
Unfortunately, homeopathy has got a reputation in some some areas as being nothing more than placebo. But in fact, actually there's a lot of trials positive trials being done in homeopathy in different countries, particularly Germany, Brazil, India, where it's more widely used and it's been studied more.
We do have some good robust randomised control trials showing efficacy in rhinitis and sinusitis, and also positive randomised control trial evidence for another 26 conditions. And in addition, there is also positive research showing improvements in wellbeing and quality of life in long term patients with chronic health problems within NHS settings in this country too.
