Meet the BeYou Team!
Dec. 30, 2020
It’s time to put faces to names! We’ve spent ages sliding in your DMs, replying to your emails, thinking of your products and deliveries that it’s time to put some names and faces to the people you’re constantly encountering on our site!
A day in the world of BeYou HQ
A day at the BeYou office is NEVER the same! We have so much taboo-booing to do that we always have something to discuss, share or work towards!
The entire team has got so many plans and dreams for BeYou, that we never have a day where we aren’t brainstorming, researching, planning or big-projecting (that’s a thing here, inside information alert)
We love the little team we have and love watching it grow! But for now, we have to give credit to those who keep those cogs turning! Without them, we would not be where we are!
Meet Kru
What do you do at BeYou?
I’ll say it how it is–maintaining brand image is important to me. As well as making sure Hemang understands periods. I think he’s now the only man who truly empathises!
I also help build relationships for the BeYou Foundation with international partners e.g. Swati who is behind the Sakhi project.
What do you love about working at BeYou?
Working with my brother–we laugh daily!
Your favourite BeYou moment?
When the first machine was set up in India, and virtually meeting all the women who are now employed and make their own money, that was emotional.
Tell us a story about your period
Hmmm, I once had a clot so big I thought my kidney fell out. True story.
Favourite BeYou product?
The Sleep Pillow Mist (this calmed me down during labour) and the Monthly Patches that save me when I’m dying on my period–which, by the way, are ridiculously heavy post-birth!!
Meet Hemang
What do you do at BeYou?
Mostly hang out. I spend about 80% of my day winding my standing desk up to the standing position or down to the seated position. The other 20% is spent wondering if I should be standing up if I’m sitting, or sitting down if I’m standing. It’s a vicious cycle!
What do you love about working at BeYou?
The people.

Favourite BeYou product?
It’s not out yet so can’t tell you ;)
Your favourite BeYou moment?
Moments plural! Reading the emails from people every morning, saying how much our patches have changed their lives!
It was only in the 2nd month after launching that someone messaged us to say they had cancelled their hysterectomy because of our patches!

What do you do at BeYou?
Here at BeYou, I do a little bit of everything! From working with our retail partners (and finding new ones!) to teaming up with our PR agency to get our new products in the right hands!
What do you love about working at BeYou?
As we’re a small team, it’s great to be involved in everything: from initial product ideas to samples, right down to the final packaging and sending it to our Ambassadors for their feedback! No two days are the same and we’re always up to something interesting which we know our customers will love!
Your favourite BeYou moment?
It never gets old seeing our products available on massive sites like Beauty Bay and Superdrug, and I love seeing our brand pop up in national titles like Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Elle! It was also a real ‘pinch-me’ moment when Zoella recently featured our Monthly Patches on her YouTube channel and said it was the most swipe ups she’d ever had for a product!
Tell us a story about your period
I will never forget my period-versary as it falls on 1st May - a.k.a May Day!
Favourite BeYou product?
It has to be the Sleep Pillow Mist! Despite being sleepy in the evenings–thanks to my early starts–I actually really struggle to drift off and get a good night's sleep, so the Sleep Pillow Mist has been a god-send! We tested so many variants of the formula to get it just right and now I can’t be without it!

What do you do at BeYou?
I’m the Graphic Designer here at BeYou HQ! In short - I’m the person who makes things pretty!
What do you love about working at BeYou?
Aaaaaah, there are so many things!! My 2 main things though are definitely the people (I love my BeYou girls!! Including Hemang of course…) as well as the openness; being able to talk so freely about our pains & problems is something I’ve never experienced before in previous jobs.
Your favourite BeYou moment?
Probably when our patches made it into Harrods! They were our first retailer, so it was exciting to see our little blue & purple packaged baby on real shelves!
Tell us a story about your period
I once lied about my period pains to get out of P.E at school, and oh my god did karma come back to bite me in the ass! As I sat in the medical room waiting for my sister to come and collect me, a throbbing pain began in my stomach and thighs, and I knew what was coming. 10 minutes later, and I was on the floor in the foetus position: vomiting, crying–it all came at once! Not a pretty sight or smell I’ll tell you now.
Those pains lasted for around 2-3 hours! Basically, the moral of this story is to never fake your period pains!! KARMA IS REAL.
Favourite BeYou product?
My favourite product has to be the Sleep Pillow Mist! It is honestly like magical sleep juice (maybe we should have called it that?). My mind likes to wander as soon as my head hits the pillow, but a few sprays of the Sleep Mist and I am out! How did I ever live without it?!

What do you do at BeYou?
I’m technically the wordsmith around here, but I consider myself more of a fangirl. I take those crazy-big ideas that the team has and put some fancy words to them! I love what I do here at BeYou because nothing is ever off the table!
What do you love about working at BeYou?
So many things! Top of my list are those countless mornings where we find ourselves discussing relevant topics–we are always learning and growing together! I love trying and testing our products; if I had a BeYou T-shirt, I would wear it more than my joggers at the moment.
Your favourite BeYou moment?
Among the endless laughter & learning with the team; I live for the moments I get to talk to you guys through social media! I may be a bit of a catfish to you, but every one of the messages I’ve sent has meant something to me. I may just start a BeYou Community Fan Page ;)
Tell us a story about your period
Honestly, I don’t have a significant period story, only because I grew up thinking it was normal and you just had to deal with the pain. Only since working at BeYou have I taken notice of my individual cycle, the change in hormones, how bad my cramps could be without the Monthly Patches, and all the other taboos I’d been suppressing!
Favourite BeYou product?
I am BeYou-Bath-Bomb-obsessed!! I get so excited about Fridays because those are the days where I treat myself to a warm bath, combined with a bath bomb–a strong gin in one hand and social media in the other!

What do you do at BeYou?
I'm the newbie of the team–the apprentice! I get to talk to all you lovely people on a daily basis, handling any queries and comments. I also work really closely with our amazing ambassadors!
What do you love about working at BeYou?
BeYou is a company where you can just be yourself and have a laugh (all whilst working hard). No conversation is too embarrassing and we don't judge each other. We talk openly about our periods, past relationships, sex, religion–you name it, we’ve spoken about it! It's never a boring day with BeYou, there's always something to look forward to or an exciting new project on the horizon.
I also love how caring and thoughtful the team is - especially as a female having really bad period pains, it's nice to be in an environment where they understand. Oh, and how can I forget having the patches on deck when I need them :)
Your favourite BeYou moment?
My favourite moment cannot be narrowed down to one specific moment. I’d say it's when we huddle together and have our random talks and story-times! We once covered some sanitary pads with fake blood to test people’s reactions–it was so much fun!
Favourite BeYou product?
It has to be our Monthly Patches! As a person that suffers extremely bad with period pains, these have been a lifesaver!! I wish I had found them sooner– honestly can't go a period without them.
