Why do I get vaginal discharge?

Vaginal discharge is very normal and it is a way of our body communicating to us that our vaginas are a self cleansing machine. It cleans itself and it keeps the area moist and also keeps our infection.

As long as you're not experiencing any unpleasant smells or odours or experiencing any type of mucus that may be in appearance of yellow or greeny type mucus, then you have nothing to worry about.

But if you are experiencing those symptoms with your vaginal discharge, please do see your family doctor or your GP, as you may have an infection and it can be easily treated.
