What types of food can I eat to look after my thyroid?

When it comes to food to help look after your thyroid, a whole food non processed diet is going to be your best option.

Having less of things like sugar, gluten, and dairy. Also, you might want to make sure that your your diet is rich in vitamins and minerals and things like selenium, which and zinc and iron, which are really important for thyroid hormone production and conversion.

Make sure that those things are in your diet so you can have a look. You can Google those minerals and see which foods are high in them.

So for example, selenium is high in Brazil nuts. Iron, you're going to be looking at meat, but it is in other foods as well.

And zinc is very high in nuts and seeds, particularly pumpkin seeds, but they are in other foods too.
