My friend suggested to go on hormonal birth control help balance my hormone. Is this true?

Unfortunately, this is misinformation, and it's a misconception that hormonal birth control or any hormonal medication will balance your hormones. When we put synthetic hormones into our body, it actually interrupts our natural hormonal rhythm.

And depending what medication it is, it actually shuts down your natural hormone cycle. So by taking these synthetic hormones, you don't actually have your natural cycle. And for me, the only way to balance your hormone and to really get on top of your hormonal health is to understand your hormonal rhythms.
