How can I deal with looking after my children if i'm having an endo flare up?

How to deal with children when you're having a flare up?

My advice from a mum is duvet day. If you can't do anything, if you can't get out of bed, don't. Get your child involved. Talk to them about what's going on, obviously in an age appropriate way. But if they're not sure about why you're upset or in pain, that makes them panic.

So the best thing you can do is talk to them and inform them. I have a now twelve year old son and he knows everything about periods and everything about Endo. And it's really good because we're going to be bringing up more compassionate people.

We're going to be bringing up the best husband, wives, uncles, aunties because they understand and they have helped us. I've also got my son involved in a young carers scheme in our local area just to give him a bit of time away from me.

It gives him somewhere to talk about me that he maybe wouldn't talk to me myself and get rid of some anxieties that he may have, but yeah, have a duvet day, eat the junk food and just snuggle up and watch films.
